There's been a lot of discussion about a recession in 2023, however HUL's Managing Director, Sanjiv Mehta, is staying positive; "I don't see a recession in India. At this stage, I am optimistic that our economy could grow in the region of 6-7%, which under the circumstances would be a great achievement."

With rupee depreciation causing an increase in costs, Mehta believes that the government needs to prioritise two things. Firstly, they need to tame inflation and secondly keep the economy growing. Read more here.
